What is it?
Screen printing forces ink through a stencil on a fine mesh onto fabric. Open areas of the stencil let ink pass; blocked areas don’t. The screen sits over the shirt and a squeegee pushes ink through the mesh to print. The shirt is then goes through a tunnel dryer to bond the ink. Multi‑colour designs need one screen per colour, aligned for proper layering.
Great for colour matching, as we mix inks to match to Pantones.
It is everyones choice for longevity.
What are the set ups and minimums?
Setups: $50 + GST per colour/position.
Minimum 30 units per design for up to 3 colours. Minimum 50 units per design for 4+ colours.
Re-set after 6 months: $35 + GST per colour/position.
Who is it for?
Cheap for large batches of the same design, but impractical for one-off shirts or multi-colour designs since each colour needs its own setup.
