What is it?
Embroidery is a way of decorating garments by sewing thread directly into it, rather than printing a design onto the surface.
Your design gets “digitised” into a file that our Barudan embroidery machines can read. Then your garment is hooped or clamped tight into our machine for the embroidery process to begin.
What are the set ups and minimums?
Setups for designs under 6,000 stitches (most cases) are $60 + GST and kept on file forever. Larger designs are quoted per design.
No minimum order; under 10 units are charged at sample pricing.
Who is it for?
Embroidery lasts forever and gives a tough, long-wearing finish that stands up to frequent use and washing. It’s especially great on thicker fabrics — hats, jackets, jumpers, heavy cotton tees — where the stitches really stand out and add texture. It looks premium and gives garments a handcrafted, durable feel.
It’s most cost-effective for small designs but can cover larger areas too, such as back of robes or denim jackets.
Embroidery works well with multiple colours and layered effects, though it’s not ideal for very tiny, thin lines or extremely detailed lettering.
